Arsenal will make a move for Bournemouth boss Eddie Howe to replace Arsene Wenger once the current Gunners boss is ready to retire, according to The Daily Star.

The veteran Frenchman has been at the North London helm for 15 years and will go down in history as one of the club’s best-ever bosses.

However, with no major silverware in a number of seasons and a couple of near misses, talk that Wenger could be entering his last 12 months in the Emirates Stadium hotseat is doing the rounds.

Howe has led Bournemouth to the Premier League and kept the Vitality Stadium outfit in the top flight at the first time of asking last term with a brave approach.

The Englishman, who was being tipped as a contender for the Three Lions job, has stayed true to his attacking football mentality and as such has built a venerable reputation for himself.
