Arsenal have been told in no uncertain terms that it will cost them £40 million if they are to land Lyon striker Alexandre Lacazette this summer, The Mirror report.
The Gunners are in the market for a hotshot striker to add goals to the North London side and have already had an offer for the France international attacker rejected by the defiant Ligue 1 outfit.
Lacazette has become one of the hottest properties in European football after scoring consistently for Lyon in France over the last 24 months – with the gifted forward to be unleashed on the Champions League next season if he stays with his boyhood club.
Arsene Wenger’s men are believed to have made an offer in the region of £30 million for the star and will need to stump up an extra £10 million if they want to tempt away the poacher.
Arsenal clearly have the money to land Lacazette if they see fit but it remains to be seen whether the club will sanction such a splurge on the striker.
