Will there be a St. Tottingham Day to celebrate?

The EmiratesArsenal were five points adrift of Tottenham, who currently occupy second spot in the Premier League, until their 1-0 victory over Norwich a couple of days ago.

However, the gap has now been reduced to just two points between the two North London clubs, with Spurs set to face Chelsea at Stamford Bridge tonight.

Prior to our latest win against the Canaries and after Spurs’ 1-1 draw to West Brom last week, I asked a question to all my Twitter followers and those who were willing to give their opinion whether there could still be a St. Tottingham celebration this season.

With the 60 votes counted, as well as asking several people in person, the results showed that the Emirates faithful are divided on this like they are with Arsene Wenger continuing his role as manager at Arsenal next season, with 53% of the voters suggesting the Gunners will not be finishing above Spurs this season, while 47% reckon St. Tottingham Day is on the horizon,

Should Spurs lose to Chelsea tonight (fingers crossed they will), Arsenal will be two away from Mauricio Pochettino’s side with two games left to play.

The Gunners go to Manchester City next and their last game of the season is at home to relegated Aston Villa, while Spurs host Southampton at White Hart Lane and finish the campaign off with a trip to relegation-threatened Newcastle.

So with this in mind, and providing Spurs drop points tonight, I ask the question once more to those reading – will there be a St. Tottingham Day for Arsenal fans to celebrate this season? I know it’s not much to celebrate, but hell, we got nothing else to cheer about this season have we?
