WalcottWest Ham are ready to offer Theo Walcott a route out of Arsenal this summer.

The Hammers move to the Olympic Stadium next season and are keen to strengthen their attacking options.

Walcott, 27, has emerged as a potential recruit, along with Marseille’s Michy Batshuayi and Liverpool’s Christian Benteke, with the England international becoming a bit-part player for the Gunners this season.

The former Southampton forward has not started for the Gunners in the Premier League since their 3-2 defeat to United in late February, with most of his appearances since then coming from the bench.

Slaven Bilic is now set to test the waters this summer by preparing a big-money swoop for Theo, who has endured a disappointing season at the Emirates and could miss out on making England’s Euro 2016 squad.

West Ham are prepared to offer him regular first-team football and a key role in the side to try and persuade Walcott from making the switch to East London.

A bid has not yet been submitted, but Arsenal are expected to receive one during the summer transfer window period, believed to be around the £20 million mark.

Should Walcott be put up for sale at the end of the season, it is expected he will have options available to him other than West Ham.

Walcott has simply not lived up to his expectations at Arsenal and seems to have gone stale at the club.

In my opinion, the Gunners would do well to receive £20 million plus for the England international this summer.
