SanchezParis Saint-Germain want to replace the outgoing Zlatan Ibrahimovic with Alexis Sanchez.

The Sweden international will leave PSG this summer after four years at the Ligue 1 club with his contract expiring at the end of the season.

As a result, PSG will be looking to replace the mercurial forward and have set their sights on Sanchez, according to AS Chile.

The Chilean forward has been a consistent performer for Arsenal and has also lit up the Premier League since his summer switch from Barcelona in 2014, contributing 36 goals and 22 assists in a total of 81 appearances so far for the Gunners.

It is believed PSG want Sanchez to operate on the flanks, which would allow Edinson Cavani, who was reportedly unhappy at being played out of position by Laurent Blanc, to operate in his favoured centre-forward role.

PSG are well aware that it will be difficult to nab Sanchez from Arsenal this summer, especially with a reported new deal down the pipeline to fend off interested clubs.

However, the French club will hold a glimmer of hope of signing the Chile international, with money certainly not an issue.

Sanchez hasn’t been in the greatest of form since his return from injury a couple of months ago, but he still remains one of Arsenal’s most influential and important players.
