Henrikh MyhitaryanReported Arsenal target Henrikh Mkhitaryan has moved a step closer to joining the Gunners this summer after sending family members house hunting in London, according to The Sun.

It is believed the 27-year-old creative midfielder has told close friends that he is set to leave Borussia Dortmund at the end of the season and Arsene Wenger is ready to pounce.

The Armenia international’s contract expires at the end of the season and has rejected the offer of a new £6.4 million deal, sparking speculation that he will be looking for a new club over the summer period.

The Sun suggests Arsenal representatives have been monitoring Mkhitaryan for a number of months, and Wenger is not frightened by shelling out £8 million-a-year to bring the former Shaktar star to the Emirates, with the Frenchman keen to link him up with Mesut Ozil.

Juventus are also keen to acquire his services should he leave Dortmund, but his destination looks to be that of the Premier League having sent members of his family to London to look at properties.

It is understood Mkhitaryan is well aware of an upcoming bid from Arsenal and is ready to make the move to the Emirates.

It would be one hell of a signing should the Gunners pull it off, not only will they land one of Europe’s most creative midfielders, but they will get him without having to splash out any transfer fees!

A potential move still looks way off, but early signs suggests it could well ensue this summer.
