FlaminiMathieu Flamini is considering a summer switch to the MLS at the end of the season, with his exit from Arsenal looming.

The 32-year-old Frenchman is expected to leave the Emirates this summer with his contract set to expire at the end of the season.

Flamini returned to Arsenal in September 2013 after being released by AC Milan and has proved a useful squad member in Arsene Wenger’s side.

However, with the likes of Francis Coquelin, Mohamed Elneny and Aaron Ramsey all ahead of him and with no sign of a contract extension, Flamini is widely tipped to leave at the end of the season.

As a result, the experienced defensive midfielder was linked with a move back to Serie A, but now, according to Sport Mediaset, as reported by talkSPORT, is now expected to open talks with a handful of MLS clubs over a possible move.

Despite his tenacity and determination on the pitch, which has been appreciated by the Arsenal faithful, Flamini’s time at the Emirates looks to be up – even more so if the Gunners reinforce their midfield department.
