Alex Oxlade-ChamberlainAlex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Wojciech Szczesny are both wanted by Liverpool, according to Football Insider.

It is believed that Jurgen Klopp is keeping an eye on the Arsenal duo having both dropped down the pecking order at the Emirates this season.

Szczesny was sent out on loan to Roma last summer for the duration of the season after the Gunners snapped up Petr Cech from Chelsea, and it is thought that the Poland international may not feature for Arsene Wenger’s side when his temporary stint at the Serie A club expires.

Meanwhile, Chamberlain has struggled to feature for Arsenal on a regular basis this season and has been the subject of some interest from a number of other Premier League outfits.

Both players are entering the final two years of their contracts and Football Insider reckons Liverpool are preparing a £40 million swoop for the duo.

Has Szczesny’s and Chamberlian’s time at Arsenal come to an end? I don’t necessarily believe so.

However, in Wenger’s mind, Cech will be his number one for several more years to come, leaving Szczesny warming the bench, which he will not put up with. While Chamberlian, who has the potential, just hasn’t lived up to the billing since we signed him from Southampton.

Would I sell both for £40 million to Liverpool this summer? It wouldn’t be ideal to sell to another Premier League club, but it is a healthy sum of money for two players that haven’t featured regularly for us this season.
