Jakub JanktoIt appears Arsenal are already looking to add new recruits to the squad at the end of the season.

The Sun suggests that reports in Italy are linking Arsenal with a move for Udinese midfielder Jakub Jankto, having watched the 20-year-old in action for Ascoli.

The versatile Czech is currently on loan at Serie B side Ascoli and it is believed Arsenal representatives ran the rule over the youngster in the 4-3 defeat to Avellino on Saturday, a game in which he scored.

Capped for the Czech Republic Under-20 side, Jankto has made 18 appearances for Ascoli so far this season after joining Udinese in 2014 from Slavia Prague.

With reports claiming Arsene Wenger is set to offload the likes of Mikel Arteta, Tomas Rosicky and Mathieu Flamini, Jankto, who can play anywhere along the midfield but is most effective behind the striker, would be seen as a potential replacement for either one of the ageing Gunners.
