Alex Oxlade-ChamberlainWest Ham are preparing a summer move for Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, according to reports.

The 22-year-old, who moved from Southampton to Arsenal in 2011, has struggled to cement a regular role in Arsene Wenger’s side, with many pundits suggesting the England winger should consider his future at the Emirates.

And the Brentwood Gazette, as reported by the Daily Mirror, says the Hammers are plotting a £15 million bid for Chamberlain at the end of the season.

Chamberlain has made 32 appearances in all competitions so far this season, half of which he started.

The winger also started against Barcelona earlier in the week but had to be replaced after picking up an injury which could rule him out for the remainder of the season.

Although adored by the majority of the Arsenal faithful, Chamberlain’s progression at the club appears to have hit the wall, hence reports linking him with a move away from the club.

Wenger does have a number of options on the wing and could well decide to let Chamberlain depart in order to revive his career elsewhere, but only for the right price.
