The EmiratesHere are my Arsenal player ratings from today’s 1-0 loss to Chelsea at the Emirates:

Petr Cech – Could do nothing about the goal conceded and kept the score-line respectable with a few saves. Man of the Match. 6/10

Hector Bellerin – Got forward well but not playing at the same level that earned him high praises earlier in the season. 4/10

Laurent Koscielny – Started off nervously by misplacing a few passes that led to Chelsea regaining possession, but the Frenchman did better as the game wore on. 4/10

Per Mertesacker – Worried about him to begin with due to his lack of pace, and when Costa was put through on goal the German was in trouble. Sent off and rightly so. 1/10

Nacho Monreal – Didn’t do enough to close down Branislav Ivanovic’s cross which led to the goal. Got forward well in the second-half though. 4/10

Mathieu Flamini – fought hard and missed a couple of good chances to put Arsenal level but lacked composure. His roaming around in the penalty box prior to the goal was very odd. 4.5/10

Aaron Ramsey – Really did try to get things going for the Gunners but to no avail. 4.5/10

Joel Campbell – Left his shooting boots at home after missing a great chance early on to put Arsenal 1-0 up. Didn’t do much after that really. 4/10

Theo Walcott – Was always caught offside and never got into the game. 3/10

Mesut Ozil – Couldn’t affect the game in anyway. Poor, but only because of the lack of attacking options after Per saw red. 4/10

Olivier Giroud – Was sacrificed after Mertesacker saw red which left the all Arsenal faithful and the French striker himself bemused as well as upset. Not enough time on the field to get going. 5/10

SUBS:

Gabriel – Replaced Giroud on the 21st minute to take the vacated space left by Mertesacker. The Brazilian centre-back did alright and kept a level head this time around against Diego Costa. 4/10

Alexis Sanchez – Came on for Campbell in the 56th minute. Injected some energy and pace in the Arsenal attack but to no avail. Was the best outfield player today. 6/10

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain – On for Walcott in the 74th minute. Offered Arsenal an outlet but never got going. N/A

I have never believed that Per Mertesacker who is the slowest player in the premiership and so fragile can help Arsenal at this stage . There are more the world class central defender who can replace him. This rating of Arsenal players is absolutely unacceptable and the one who did that must watch the recording of the match again.
