JorginhoNapoli have rejected an offer from Arsenal for midfielder Jorginho, according to reports in Italy.

Arsenal are believed to be monitoring the 24-year-old this month and Tuttomercatoweb now claim Napoli have rejected an approach from the Gunners, with the Serie A club not keen to sell.

Jorginho’s agent Joao Santos said in November that he wasn’t surprised to see scouts keeping tabs on his client with the Brazilian cementing a place in Maurizio Sarri’s side this season:

‘I don’t know if the Arsenal scouts were in Genoa for Jorginho.

‘I’m not surprised that the player is doing very well – especially in light of the change of coach – and that top clubs are interested in him.’

Although Napoli are not keen to sell one of their prized assets as they chase the Serie A title this season, they may be more willing to do business over the summer.

Providing five assists, Jorginho has made a total of 20 appearances for the Naples cub so far this season, who are worth betting on in the Serie A with your William Hill promo code, and still has four-and-a-half years left to run on his existing deal.

Arsenal are set to lose Mikel Arteta, Mathieu Flamini and Tomas Rosicky over the summer with all three players’ contracts expiring at the end of the season. So a summer move for Jorginho could still be on the horizon.
