alex oxlade-chamberlainChelsea are tracking Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain as a potential replacement for Eden Hazard, reports The Sun.

Hazard is understood to be unhappy at Stamford Bridge and is wanted by both Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain. But it is though that the Belgian winger will wait to see who becomes Chelsea’s permanent manager before deciding his future.

As a precaution, Chelsea are now looking into possible replacements and have identified Chamberlain as ideal successor to Hazard.

The 22-year-old attracted interest from the Blues over the summer when Jose Mourinho was in charge, but eventually opted against a move for the winger, with Arsene Wenger reluctant to sell.

Wenger believes the Ox needs confidence and a run of games to get back to where he was, but his injury problems this season have not helped his cause.

Chamberlain has seen more game time as of late due to Arsenal’s injury woes, but has failed to impress on several occasions this season.

But the England winger has his best years ahead of him and is still learning, hence why Wenger will almost certainly reject any approach made by Chelsea this January and/or over the summer.
