The Daily Mirror claim a horde of Premier League clubs are keeping tabs on Bordeaux’s Henri Saivet, including Arsenal.
The 25-year-old started his career off as a wide-right forward but has found himself playing in a central midfield role this season for Bordeaux where he has flourished.
Known for his pace, strength and technical ability, Saivet has caught the eye of a number of Premier League outfits, with Everton, Spurs, Aston Villa, Swansea and Bournemouth all sending scouts to watch him in action against Liverpool last Thursday in the Europa league, and could be available for as little as £3.5 million this January.
Saivet, who has netted three goals in 22 total appearances so far this season, represented France at youth level before becoming a senior international with Senegal, where he has won five caps.
Saivet looks like the type of player Arsene Wenger would go for and can develop, but would his possible arrival this January be welcomed, or should the Gunners be looking elsewhere?
We ARE looking elsewhere! He’s not coming to Arsenal.
