Edinson CavaniArsenal are ready to offer Edinson Cavani a route out of Paris Saint-Germain this January, according to reports.

After the horrific attacks which occurred in Paris on Friday night during the friendly encounter between France and Germany, Cavani, who was on international duty, has told his Uruguayan team-mates that he would rather not return to PSG.

David Luiz recently told the press that he doesn’t want to return to club duty with PSG and Cavani has echoed the centre-back’s thoughts.

As a result, reports are now linking Cavani with a move to Arsenal, with the Gunners ready to re-ignite their interest in the 28-year-old forward when the January transfer window opens.

Uruguay midfielder Alvaro Gonzales said:

‘This is horrible, for football and for the city.

‘They spoke of the fact that David Luiz would not return to Paris and Edinson said he would rather not have to go either.’

Arsenal could do with another striker coming in this January to continue their impressive run in the Premier League and Cavani, for the majority of the Emirates fans, would be an ideal signing to bolster the club’s attack.

The Gunners were linked with a move for the Uruguay international in the past, but a move failed to materialize, with the £50 million asking price proving to be the stumbling block.

However, PSG may now be forced to grant the striker’s request to leave and also reduce his asking price to make the move happen.

It will be interesting to see what happens with this one – hopefully at the end of it we see Cavani at Arsenal.

      @Sulpher Bliss,

      forget this b s, the only transfers are the ones reported on the official Arsenal website the rest including the above is total bollocks. Every transfer window people get wound up on this crap, you would think the penny would have dropped by now.
