Should Arsenal keep hold of this trio?

ClickWengerI know it’s a while away still but it’s been reported by the Evening Standard that Arsene Wenger will NOT offer Mikel Arteta, Mathieu Flamini and Tomas Rosicky new contracts to remain at the Emirates

None of the trio have been regulars for the Gunners this season. Rosicky, 35, has yet to make an appearance for the club, while Flamini, 31, has featured four times and the 33-year-old Arteta, who has been sidelined with injury for the majority of the campaign thus far, has made just two starts and five cameo outings in the Premier League.

Although Wenger values the trio’s experience on and off the pitch, they no longer are guaranteed regular playing time and are now viewed by many as squad players rather than starters.

Francis Coquelin and Santi Cazorla are now the club’s preferred central midfield pairing, leaving Arteta and Flamini on stand-by, while a host of attacking players are miles ahead of Rosicky in the pecking order.

With that all being said, would Wenger be doing the right thing by not renewing their contracts?

All three have served the club admirably but I believe there time is up at the Emirates. Flamini and Arteta are at the club for back-up and squad depth while Rosicky doesn’t even get a look in when he’s available.

Scout for fresh legs b/w now and next summer to replace these three with no sentiments. We’ll wish them good luck ahead.

Arteta and Flamini cannot do it at this level any more and super Tom is just to old now. Tom was a class player and a big loss but all 3 need to be replaced now to create competition for places. Our squad is down to the bare bones now cause these guys just cant stay fit for long. Buy 3 or 4 players Arsene in Jan and try offload these guys.
