Who should replace the injured Ramsey?

aaron ramseyIt’s something Arsenal fans will not to hear often, another player is injured, in this case its Aaron Ramsey.

The Welsh midfielder hobbled off in the early stages of the second half against Bayern in the Gunners’ 2-0 win over the German giants in midweek and will be out of action for at least a month with a hamstring injury.

Ramsey has been a regular starter in Arsene Wenger’s side this season, starting nine of their 10 Premier League games so far, and although the 24-year-old is more effective in the centre of midfield, Le Boss has opted to deploy him on the right wing for the majority of the campaign thus far.

When asked by reporters on Ramsey’s injury, Wenger said:

‘He had a scan but he’s out. I believe he will be out until after the next international break. With the (last) international break, the fact that he played against Andorra certainly cost (Gareth) Bale and him as well.’

So with the Wales international out until the end of November, who should take his place in the starting line-up?

Well the obvious choice for me would be Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, but with Ramsey out, I can envisage Wenger reverting Theo Walcott back to the right wing role and stick Olivier Giroud upfront. This looks the obvious solution, but with Walcott impressing as a centre-forward this season, to put him back on the wing could be detrimental to his form and confidence, so I think Chambo is worth a run in the side – either on the right or left flank with Alexis Sanchez on the opposite one to the England international.

I’d like to see a 442 setup with Giroud and Walcot up front. They both deserve to play at the moment.

Would have to be 4 2 2 2 as Alexis and Ozil not wingers. Ox is only real winger we have. So not sure that formation will be right for us.

The OX needs a run in the side and this is his chance. He is quality and just needs games to get his awesome form back. With Jack, Tom and Danny out our options are limited though i do believe OX will actually offer more from the tight than Rambo who is far better centrally. My worry is the weak bench with only really Giroud who could come on and make a difference. Gotta add a player or 2 in jan or we will tire badly.

I’d say why not try out Joel Campbell in that position.

For me I think ox is a perfect replacement
