arsenal-badgeArsenal were dumped out of the Capital One Cup by Championship side Sheffield Wednesday at Hillsborough last night, slumping to a 3-0 defeat.

The Capital One Cup has been used by Arsene Wenger to introduce and test his young guns, and four made their debut for the Gunners last night.

Here is a look at how the foursome got on:

Glen Kamara

The 19-year-old defensive midfielder wasn’t intimidated by the Hillsborough atmosphere and got stuck in.

The youngster was composed on the ball and pretty much found a team-mate with every pass he played, even though they were short ones.

However, the Finland international’s fitness took its toll and was soon enough replaced just after the hour mark.

Kamara did impress in some aspects of his game but clearly needs to work on his stamina and needs more game time to improve.

Alex Iwobi

The Nigerian youngster showcased good close control and dribbling skills at time and probably had one of Arsenal’s better chances in the game after cutting inside and firing a shot into the side netting.

The 19-year-old was caught with a reckless challenge by Sam Hutchinson which made Iwobi go back into his shell a little.

Iwobi has something about him, but needs to seal a loan move away to gain more experience and hone his ability more.

Ismael Bennacer

The 17-year-old wasn’t expected to play but made his debut just 19 minutes into the game after both Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Theo Walcott picked up knocks.

The French youngster got some neat touches on the ball and his movement was half decent too, but the occasion got the better of him, and who could blame him.

Krystian Bielik

Probably the only positive in what was a horrible night for the Gunners.

The Polish youngster, 17, who arrived from Legia Warsaw last summer, came on with 30 minutes to play and got right into the thick of things. Wanted the ball and made a good impression with the Arsenal faithful because of this.

Certainly one to watch for the future.

Krystian Bielik all the way!! fantastic display. A Cazozil like type. Confidence with the ball, good passing and wanting the ball in his feet all the time. He make me forget we were losing by 3:0 Wenger should bring him on board with the first team.
