Can Arsenal produce a European miracle?

ArsenalArsenal have been a delight to watch in domestic competitions so far this season, but the same cannot be said about their performances in Europe.

The Gunners have lost both of their opening two Champions League games, losing to Croatian minnows Dinamo Zagreb away 2-1 and a fortnight later succumbed to a 3-2 home lost to Greek champions Olympiacos, a side who never won on English soil in 13 previous games prior to the recent one against Arsenal.

Arsene Wenger’s men sit rock bottom of their Champions League group and have everything to do if they want to qualify to the knockout stages. But their next two games in this competition are not going to get any easier, as they prepare to face German giants Bayern Munich in quick succession, firstly at the Emirates.

The Gunners MUST get a positive result at home and then have to beat Bayern away if they are to stand any chance of progressing further. It’s as simple as that…

But can Arsenal make it happen? Well the players aren’t giving up hope of qualifying to the next stage, nor is Wenger. Some fans on the other hand may not be so optimistic about their chances, and rightly so. Despite beating Bayern in Germany in the past, this challenge ahead for the Gunners is one of the momentous standards. For the side to come away from both games (home and away) with positive results is a tough task and let’s face it, not many of us are envisaging it, but this is not to say it can’t happen.

This double header against Bayern will determine whether or not we continue our adventure in Europe. Hopefully they can do us proud.

Can Arsenal produce a European miracle?

Its quite possible but highly unlikely. Wish them good luck though.

We need to win at home but cant expect us to beat Bayern away. We will beat both the other teams in next games ,9 points could be enough to get through. Especially if other 2 get a win each against each other. Not over yet but Bayern gonna be tough.
