FIVE things I learnt from our 2-0 loss to Chelsea

Costa GabrielHere are FIVE things I learnt from our 2-0 loss to Chelsea yesterday at Stamford Bridge:

1. I HATE Diego Costa

He has a reputation for being the angriest footballer in the world and winding players up, but the Chelsea man overstepped the mark yesterday. Costa slaps Laurent Koscielny across the face, not once, not twice, but THREE times and then shoves the Frenchman over with his chest, after which he grapples with Gabriel for a bit, gets the Arsenal defender sent off and only receives a yellow card for his actions. I really hope someone puts him in his place sometime soon.

2. Mike Dean is a S*** referee

All you have to do is look at the footage and his participation in the whole fiasco. Poor refereeing all round and made the game about him rather than the players.

3. Arsene Wenger’s decision-making was suspect

Some of his decision-making and substitutions have raised eyebrows in the past and he did so once again yesterday at the Bridge. Having seen Gabriel receive his marching orders, Wenger decided to take off a defensive player (Francis Coquelin) at the beginning of the second-half and bring on Calum Chambers to play alongside Koscielny at the back. Yes, Chambers coming on was the obvious move to make, but with the game still 0-0 at the time, Wenger should have taken off an attacking player and kept things more tighter in midfield.

4. Gabriel is a Gooner

I’m sorry, I know he got sent off and he did let us down by not keeping his cool and professionalism, but you got to love the heart and passion he showed for defending Koscielny. All Gabriel needs to do now is channel that passion and aggression in the right way. Gooner in my book.

5. Mesut Ozil hid

I love watching the German maestro play, in fact, he is one of my favourite Arsenal players in the current squad, but he hid yesterday and couldn’t get a foothold in the game. In these type of games you need your best to shine, unfortunately Ozil didn’t and many will once again question his desire for the side.

Coq was substituted only because he was injured

Dean will cause another team to lose by giving a penalty/red card, etc

I share all but one of your feelings about the match. Your third point is not well informed. Coq34 was already injured and we are a man down. Wenger had to change the formation. We played 4-2-3. with Ozil going to the left and that was when he became invisible . Ramsey became the DMF and Carzola playing both the CMF and AMF all alone. What else would u want Wenger to do.

Despite that the scumbags could only score from an invisible foul given by the most useless referee in the universe.

Anyone blaming Wenger or the players for the outcome of the match is naive at best IMHO.

This is a shoddy analysis from the author. Coquelin came off due to injury, Ozil played better than Sanchez who I feel, needs a rest because he looks way off the pace. The only thing I can blame Wenger for is the fact he failed to buy cover for Coquelin in the transfer widow.

Ozil performed well in the first half, intact he was the best at setpiece in the Arsenal setup yesterday until he was hooked off. The game bypassed him immediately we were reduced to 10 men. An all round spirited performance from the lads, they didn’t let their heads drop in the entire game despite the injustices.
As for the substation, Wenger is to blame for not buying a cover.

The ref is just too fake and it is so obvious that he is not in it alone cus some idiot somewhere was communicating with him and asked him to issue two red cards in such a tight match well you can tell that Arsenal are too strong for Dem and that’s why they planned against us as for that catch of theirs call morinho nemesis will catch up with him when the face New Castle united all said and done we need to move ahead and get ready for our next challenge #iLoveArsenal

    Ok guys
How about Alexis sanchez, he hasn’t been the same player so far this season: very wasteful.

  • Gunner fan says:

All the big name players went missing. Another is if Arsenal can’t beat the big 4/5/6 he can forget about the epl.
