OzilA few days ago, it was reported that Fenerbahce are monitoring Mesut Ozil’s future at Arsenal

It is claimed the Turkish outfit are serious about landing the 26-year-old, who is a third-generation Turkish-German, and are preparing to make a move for him at the end of the season.

Ozil, who joined Arsenal from Real Madrid in 2013, hasn’t hit the heights expected by many fans and pundits alike since his move to the Emirates, with some suggesting his inconsistency and apparent disinterest a major concern.

And his agent, Dr. Erkut Sogut, had this to say on his client’s future:

‘Fenerbahce are serious but it all depends on what answer Arsenal give. It will all become clear at the end of the season.’

Ozil was a subject of interest from Fenerbahce and Juventus over the summer and Arsene Wenger is aware of this, but said on the matter:

‘Look, I never spoke to him on that front or on a football front as well.

‘He’s an important player for our team and he’s a player of course we count on to continue our development and our success.’

A worry for Arsenal is that Ozil is a self-confessed Fenerbahce fan and whilst on holiday in Turkey told a newspaper that he wants to one day play for the Istanbul club:

‘In the future I want to wear a Fenerbahce shirt – it would be an honour. Everyone knows I am a Fenerbahce fan.’

Since joining Arsenal two years ago, Ozil has netted 12 goals and assisted 24 in 99 total appearances, but he remains, for some, a player who cuts a frustrated figure.

This is Ozil’s third season at Arsenal – could it be his last?

Are u Chelsea or Gunner? Ozil belongs to the Arsenal of today and he certainly is crucial to the Arsenal of tomorrow period. You should support the players and their manager for the team’s progression and motivation.#YA GUNNERS YA!!!!!

Will be a pleasure if Ozil goes.Like this article says,he look uninterested and isolated. Not a match winner, especially the big matches.

Let’s face it anyone would look good supplying the ammo for Christiano. He’s never really impressed me, if we got a decent offer unload him. I don’t think Wenger will be around next season either.

It’s not his fault that he can not yet fulfill the fans’ expectation. Ozil is still one of the best player around. He’s been giving the team a lot of good passes, but what good will they do when we don’t have the hungry predator up front? We should’ve bought a world class striker at any cost to be able to get the best of Ozil

What a bunch of biased people! Dont forget he does his job week in and out but there are not enough quality players to support him. For ex: he has created around 170 chances and of that how many has been converted? only 16…so who’s fault? Write something better!!
