Arsene WengerArsenal will compete in their 18th Champions League campaign under Arsene Wenger, having finished third in the Premier League last season behind Manchester City and Chelsea respectively.

This season, however, the Gunners have been placed in pot two, alongside Manchester City and Manchester United, if they can overcome Club Brugge over two legs – only Chelsea make the top pot, given them a slight edge over their Premier League rivals.

There are a number of high-profiled teams in this year’s competition, as well as a few whipping boys, but Arsenal have never failed to qualify from the Group Stages of the competition, which should give us some comfort.

However, having seen the sides competing this term, here is our best and worst case scenario:

Best case scenario – Zenit or PSV, Dynamo Kiev, Gent

Worst case scenario – Barcelona, Galatasaray and Roma.

Let’s hope we get a satisfying outcome when the draw takes place in Monaco in nine days time.

Full Seedings below:

Pot one: Barcelona, Chelsea, Bayern Munich, Juventus, Benfica, Paris Saint-Germain, Zenit St. Petersburg, PSV Eindhoven.

Pot two: Real Madrid, Atletico Madrid, Porto, Arsenal, Manchester United*, Valencia*, Bayer Leverkusen*, Manchester City.

Pot three: Shakhtar Donetsk*, FC Basel*, Sevilla, Lyon, Dynamo Kiev, Olympiacos, Sporting Lisbon*, Galatasaray.

Pot four: Roma, Celtic*, APOEL Nicosia*, BATE Borisov*, Borussia Monchengladbach, Wolfsburg, Dinamo Zagreb*, Gent.
