Here are my Arsenal player ratings from today’s 2-0 home loss to West Ham:
Petr Cech – Not the best start to his Arsenal career, it has to be said. Many will point the finger of blame at him for the first goal after coming out and failing to get to the ball, but his back four were positioned poorly. However, the second goal was a clear misjudgement and should have been avoided. 3.5/10
Mathieu Debuchy – The French right-back didn’t look fit and struggled to keep up with the pace of the game, hence why he only lasted 67 minutes. 4.5/10
Per Mertesacker – Made some good interceptions early on but wasn’t up to scratch today. Positioning wasn’t great. 5/10
Laurent Koscielny – Never have I seen Koscielny been run ragged as much as I did today. Struggled with Diafra Sakho’s pace, lacked communication and was all over the shop late on in the game. 4/10
Nacho Monreal – Poor marking led to West Ham’s first goal and although he offered an attacking option, his defending was suspect today. 4/10
Francis Coquelin – Poor distribution throughout and had he kept in line with his back four for the free-kick (which led to the goal) it would have been given offside. His unneeded slide interception led to the second goal. 4.5/10
Aaron Ramsey – Apart from his deflected effort that rattled the cross bar in the first-half, the Welshman was non-existent. 4/10
Santi Cazorla – Pulled the strings early on but struggled to keep it going. Looked to create but couldn’t do so as the Hammers defended well. 5/10
Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain – Was full of energy, got forward superbly and was the only player who gave it his all today. Ended up playing at right-back when Sanchez and Walcott came on. 7/10
Mesut Ozil – Faded in and out of the game, but when he did have the ball he did well. Good passing range displayed but didn’t create much. 5/10
Olivier Giroud – Worked the channels well but didn’t have his shooting boots on today. Needed better service but when he got the ball in the area he didn’t do much to excite. 5/10
SUBS:
Theo Walcott – Came on for Coquelin in the 58th minute to add more attacking prowess to the side. Sadly, he failed to deliver. 5/10
Alexis Sanchez – Replaced Debuchy with 23 minutes left to play. Clearly not 100% and it showed. 5/10
There we go again blaming the wrong people typical Arsenal mentality with deluded fans and manager. Yes Czech made a huge error but can anyone tell me where we’re hs defender? If we want to be true to ourselves then let’s start now. The problem is Wenger, he’s got dementia he still thinks we r in 2001 playing the same old fashioned game like before. Can anyone tell me why Ramsey is in the team? Can anyone tell me why Metersacker is still first choice? Can anyone tell me why we don’t have 2 solid defensive midfielders? Can anyone tell me why we didn’t sign Scheneiderlin? Can anyone tell me why we let gnarly leave on loan what if the Ox gets injured and the is a must every season? Can anyone tell me why zener sits on d bench even when it’s obvious that his game plan and team is rubbish? Can anyone pls tell me why car zola started on d left? Can anyone pls tell me why Ramsey Ramsey Ramsey Ramsey is always starting for Arsenal if we intend to win the league? Wengr remains loyal to payers and when they come good they fuck him in the Arseee and leave the club ie van persie, Nasri, fabregas. When all these questions are answered we will win the league. We have already failed to do our transfer business early and now all d reasonable players are gone. The same old Arsenal.
What a bad start today for wenger and cech.we need superstar striker. To catch others in the league.

We real need a big change. And the changes should start with Wenger shown the way out. If with this team last two seasons nothing we did. How do we expect the same people doing wonders, not possible at all.
When Wenger says he needs quality players, what does he real mean to his words, because the people bringing them in are real with very low quality mostly. If we real need change Wenger must go.
