eduardo vargasEarlier this week, reports claimed Alexis Sanchez had talks with Arsene Wenger over bringing in fellow Chilean Eduardo Vargas to Arsenal this summer.

The 25-year-old forward spent last season on loan to QPR, but didn’t really shine at Loftus Road, scoring three goals in 22 games in all competitions.

However, Vargas has lit up the Copa America this summer with Chile and netted a stunning strike in the semi-final win against Peru.

The Napoli striker is now being linked with a move to Arsenal, with Wenger thought to be looking to add some more firepower to his squad ahead of next season.

But would the Chile international be a good fit for the Gunners and start week in, week out? Or should Wenger look elsewhere?

Personally, I liked the look of him before he went to QPR last season and believe he would be a very astute signing, should we go ahead with it. The Chilean, who still has two years left on his existing deal at Napoli, can play anywhere across the front three and wouldn’t come at a high price – £15 million should be enough to acquire him.
