Surely Wenger won’t sell him after just one season?

|

WelbeckDanny Welbeck is wanted by Besiktas, according to reports in Turkey.

Having sold Demba Ba to Shanghai Shenhua, Besiktas are now keen to add a new forward this summer, with Turkish newspaper Aksam claiming Welbeck has emerged as a shock transfer target.

It is understood Besiktas are lining up a bid between £7-10.6 million bid for the ex-Manchester United forward, with Arsenal being linked with a number of high-profile strikers themselves.

Welbeck only signed for the Gunners last summer from United for £16 million and managed to net just eight goals in 34 total appearances in his debut season at the Emirates.

It’s highly unlikely that Arsenal will entertain any bid for the 24-year-old England international this transfer window, but with the Arsene Wenger expected to sign a top striker to offer healthy competition to Olivier Giroud and challenge for the Premier League title, Welbeck’s position at the club could well come into question.

Surely Wenger want get rid of Welbeck after just on season at the club?

    Give him CHANCES!!!

Arsenal bought this young English player from Manchester United less than a year ago and for 16 million pounds . So what on earth makes Besiktas, think Arsenal can sell him for between £7-10.6 million . Every player on earth has a price that will force his club to sell but Arsenal has not put his name for sale and if they really need him and value him they have to treble this amount of money to make Arsenal at least think of the offer.

He was average at Man U, he’s been average with Arsenal, he will always be an average player.

Why would a top club like Arsenal be patient and waste precious time with that type of player? C’mon FFS! It’s time to be ruthlessly ambitious!
