Is Wenger right to allow these FOUR Gunners to depart?

Arsene WengerSo I’ve recently read that Arsenal are ready to offload four players this summer, David Ospina, Lukas Podolski, Joel Campbell and Mathieu Flamini.

It is thought Arsene Wenger is prepared to listen to offers for the four names mentioned as he reviews his squad options and potential targets this summer, but will only agree to sell at the right price.

But do Ospina, Podolski, Campbell and Flamini still have roles to play for us this season?

Ospina

With the arrival of Petr Cech, the Colombian’s position at the club has become in jeopardy, and Ospina has admitted that his agent is in talks with Fenerbahce over a possible move, but nothing has yet been agreed. It’s thought a £4 million transfer is on the cards, but many Arsenal fans have expressed their displeasure over the potential departure of Ospina, who only signed for the Gunners last summer from Nice.

Personally, I would like to see him stay and be a back-up to Cech, while Wojciech Szczesny seals a loan move away this summer. However, Wenger appears to want the Pole and is ready to part ways with Ospina – shame really as he is a decent goalkeeper.

Podolski

The German forward spent the second half of last season out on loan to Inter Milan, where he failed to impress.

Podolski is now back at Arsenal but is clearly not in Wenger’s plans as the Frenchman looks to bolster his attacking options this summer. The 30-year-old would like to remain at the Emirates, but is not willing to sit another season on the bench, which looks highly likely if he is not shipped out. He has also said he will leave the club for the right destination and has talked up a move to Galatasaray, who are in fact close to signing him in.

Although a character, Podolski’s time at Arsenal is clearly up and Wenger is right to let him go.

    Absolutely 100% right!
There’s more he can let go too.
Rosicky deserves playing regularly at another club. He is so far down the pecking order it is unfair to keep him and should be released on a free. Sanogo is 3 years away from showing any real first team quality and should go for a 2 season-long loan somewhere. And Gnabry should also go on loan but not be sold.

Its right to get rid of any players who we wouldn’t want to see in the starting 11. We need 18 Quality players not squad players who when called upon are not good enough. While we clearing out we should clear Arteta, Sanogo and Jenkinson.
