Sead KolasinacArsenal have already been linked with a number of left-backs this summer, and the latest name to be added to the list is Sead Kolasinac, according to reports in Italy

The 22-year-old, a left-back that can also play in the centre-back and holding midfielder role, has emerged as a serious target for the Gunners, with Nacho Monreal entering the final year of his contract at the Emirates.

The 29-year-old Spaniard is being chased by Athletic Bilbao, with the La Liga club preparing a £7 million offer.

And despite Monreal insisting he is happy to remain at Arsenal, Arsene Wenger has yet to open negotiations with him over a new deal, increasing speculation that the former Malaga man could be on his way out of the club.

Napoli’s Faouzi Ghoulam and Augsburg’s Baba Rahman have both been linked with a move to the Emirates, but Tuttomercatoweb now claim Wenger has turned his attention to Kolasinac.

The Bosnia international, who still has two-years left to run on his current deal at Schalke, has made 57 appearances for Schalke since joining the club back in 2012, but only featured seven times for the German outfit last season after a picking up a serious knee injury.

If the Gunners are keen on the young defender, who will cost around £10 million, then they will have to act fast, with Juventus, Roma, Inter Milan and Fiorentina all believed to be interested in the player’s services.
