WalcottTheo Walcott has agreed a new deal to remain at Arsenal, reports the Sunday Mirror.

The 26-year-old forward was in the final year of his current contract, but after successful talks between the player and club representatives, Walcott put pen to paper on a four-year deal.

Walcott, Arsenal’s current longest serving player, has extended his stay until 2019 and it is believed he will earn somewhere over the £100,000-a-week, putting him amongst the highest earners at the club.

The deal has not been officially announced by the club, but they will look to do so before the start of the Premier League season.

Arsene Wenger will be delighted to have tied Theo down for a further four years and avoided a repeat scenario when the England international’s contract was last running down.

There was a real fear that Walcott would not have signed on the dotted line on a new deal, with reports even linking him with a move to Liverpool, and the Gunners losing him on a free transfer next summer.

But Arsenal fans can now rest easy knowing that Walcott will be at the Emirates for at least another four years.
