Petr CechArsenal legend Liam Brady believes Arsene Wenger will not spend £40-50 million on a striker, and has urged his former club to sign Petr Cech and Morgan Schneiderlin.

The Gunners are being linked with big money moves for a striker this summer, with both Karim Benzema and Gonzalo Higuain reportedly on the agenda, but Brady insists there are other areas of the side that need addressing – although the former youth academy manager says a adding a new forward won’t hurt the cause:

‘I don’t see Arsenal going in for a striker that’s going to cost £40-50million.

‘Arsenal have a good scouting system though and I think we could find somebody that may challenge Olivier Giroud and Theo Walcott for a place up front.

‘You can never have too many good strikers.’

When asked who Arsenal should attempt to sign this summer, Brady promoted the idea of Cech and Schneiderlin joining the Gunners:

‘If they’re going to sign anybody, they should look at Petr Cech, if he was available.

‘Also, they maybe need a defensive midfield player. Someone like James Milner or Morgan Schneiderlin might be on the list.

‘Schneiderlin is good on the ball and in the tackle. I like the look of him.’

I too like the idea of Cech joining, as we could do with some experience between the goalposts, and with both Mathieu Flamini and Mikel Arteta on their last legs, a new defensive midfielder needs to be added to challenge Francis Coquelin – and Schneiderlin, for me, fits the bill. Both players have vital Premier League experience and if Wenger manages to sign this duo then we will be certain title contenders next season.

As for signing a £40-50 million striker, I have my doubts. But Wenger has proved in the past two summer transfer windows that he’s not afraid of splashing the cash on the right player – perhaps he will do the same, this time on a world-class striker.

Iam a Kenyan Arsenal fan and diehard too. Looking at the present Arsenal team makes me admire Arsene Wenger the tame manager. He is very experienced in foot ball even though he had managed to score only four goals during his career footballer. I believe footballing and Football management are quite different though complementary. Goals and Goals is what makes football to be fun to watch. Arsene Wenger please flex your stance and sign Karim Benzema and Karim Benzema if you want to be a contender in the 15/16 premier league season.

The big German has improved but still scares me near to death most games. Would love a top centre back to partner the best in the league in Kolschelny

I totally agree with Brady, and more so on Morgan. Wenger does his deals quietly so we may never have a hint until the deal is donen. I wish him and the club good luck and a successful 2015/2016 season.

Brady might be saying the fact to strengthen the midfield, but we are in great need for prolific striker

Brady is explaining what Wenger should mandatory do in order to secure the title come next season.i therefore conquer with him. adding an expensive striker is a bit not good.
