Arsenal are considering a summer move for Juventus wing-back Kwadwo Asamoah, according to reports in Italy.
The versatile Ghanaian endured a torrid season at Juve, missing the majority of the campaign through injury.
Asamoah only managed to make a total of 10 appearances in all competitions for the Serie A double winners last season and has fallen down the pecking order, which could lead to Massimiliano Allegri putting the 26-year-old up for sale this summer.
Arsene Wenger is looking to strengthen his squad this summer ahead of next season to mount a serious title challenge, and reportedly has several targets in mind.
Asamoah has previously been linked with move to Arsenal, but a move never materialised.
However, with Theo Walcott yet to sign a new deal and Lukas Podolski set to depart, Asamoah could interest Wenger once again.
The Ghana international can play anywhere along the left flank and is known for his high stamina level and energetic runs.
It will be interesting to see whether anything comes from this as we do need to strengthen our left side, and Asamoah, who is valued at around £18 million, would be a welcomed addition, in my opinion.
It looks like Arsenal want to sign every player on earth!
All these are paper talks and opinions, while worthwhile, could also be a distraction. I believe the boss knows what he’s doing. Thanx for your opinion anyway.
