Arsenal can forget about signing this man

HiguainArsenal may end their interest in Gonzalo Higuain after learning the Argentine will only be leaving Napoli if his monstrous buy-out clause is met.

Higuain, currently on international duty with Argentina at the Copa America, has been strongly linked with a move away from Napoli this summer, with Arsenal understood to be keen on his services.

The 27-year-old is thought to want out of the Naples club this summer after failing to qualify for the Champions League next season.

However, if the Gunners, or any other club for that matter, want to acquire the Argentine forward then they will have to be willing to spend £72 million (the proposed buy-out clause), according to Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis, who also insists Higuain will honour his contract.

‘Higuain’s future? If a player has a contract this contract has to be respected

‘If a madman arrives and offers to pay his buy-out clause then one must consider it.

‘Otherwise Pipita (Higuain) will remain here.’

Although I would love to see Higuain at Arsenal, we will NO WAY pay Napoli £72 million for his services – a £25 million move for Porto’s Jackson Martinez looks more likely to happen this summer.
