Yohan CabayeArsene Wenger may once again turn his attention to Yohan Cabaye after the French midfielder admitted he could leave Paris Saint-Germain at the end of the season.

The 29-year-old was on Wenger’s radar before he left from Newcastle to join the Ligue 1 champions in January 2014 but has struggled to become a regular for Laurent Blanc’s side, making just 11 league starts.

Cabaye still has two years left to run on his current deal at the Parc des Princes but fears a lack of action could wreck his chances of playing for France on home soil at Euro 2016.

The former Newcastle star was quoted in the today saying:

‘It’s a strange time in my career. I’ve never experienced something like this.

‘You have to accept it, which doesn’t mean not doing anything about changing the situation.

‘I want to play in the Euros at home. I’ll have to speak to the coach, my representatives and with the club to see what we’re going to do – it’s an important decision.’

Arsenal were tracking Cabaye last summer and reportedly made a bid for the player, but the Frenchman opted to join PSG instead.

But with Cabaye now considering his future, should the Gunners renew their interest in him when the transfer window opens at the end of the season?

Had this been last summer then I would’ve said yes, as the French midfielder was impressive and doing everything right. However, I believe our current midfielders are far superior in ability than Cabaye.

Is he better than the likes of Jack Wilshere, Santi Cazorla or Aaron Ramsey? I don’t believe so.

Some Arsenal fans are calling on Wenger to sign a midfielder this summer, but not another playmaker, which Cabaye is.

Do you agree Arsenal don’t need Cabaye?
