Arturo VidalArsenal have not agreed a deal with Juvntus for Arturo Vidal, according to Arsene Wenger.

Earlier this week, reports in Chile suggested that the Gunners had agreed a £25 million deal for the 28-year-old, with the move set to go through after this summer’s Copa America.

Arsenal are believed to be in the market this summer for a holding midfielder and Wenger has reportedly added Vidal to his wishlist after admitting he likes the player.

However, although the Frenchman has expressed his interest in Vidal, he remains adamant that the Chilean has not put pen to paper and is not in ‘transfer mode’:

‘If you want me to say I like Arturo Vidal, then yes I like Arturo Vidal.

‘But are we in a transfer mode? I say no.’

Vidal still has two years left to run on his existing contract at Juventus but is said to be considering his options at the Serie A club, having won everything he can in Italy.

Vidal would be a great signing for the Gunners, and Alexis Sanchez could hold the key to any potential deal as he could persuade his fellow countryman to come and join him at the Emirates this summer.

Wenger likes Vidal, and hopefully after the Copa America the Frenchman takes his interest up a notch.

Vidal is a good player so arsenal should sign him by any means.

Between Vidal and Morgan, who should Arsene concentrate on in terms of quality? Jumping here and there just won’t help. By the way these things are better handled secretly.
