Has he done enough to warrant more game time?

WalcottAfter smashing in a hat-trick on the last day of the season against West Brom at the Emirates, Theo Walcott is desperate for more first-team football – but will he get it?

The 26-year-old has struggled to get game time under Arsene Wenger this season after overcoming a serious knee injury last term.

And with only one-year left to run on his existing deal at Arsenal, Walcott is being linked with a move away from the Emirates this summer, with Liverpool reportedly keen on his services.

However, despite Walcott’s lack of action this term, Arsene Wenger has previously stated that the England winger will become a striker at Arsenal as he enters his ‘golden age’, which should give Theo some hope of finally being played as a centre-forward.

But all Theo wants to do is play football:

‘I just want to play football.

‘Getting a hat-trick on the last day of the season after having limited opportunities – it was just nice to go out there to show what I can do.

‘Hopefully the fans were very happy with that.’

Despite a great showing against West Brom, has Theo done enough to convince the Emirates faithful that he still has a future at Arsenal? I don’t think so. He is an inconsistent performer in my eyes and I don’t think he would be missed if he was to leave.

He wants to play football regularly – can you see him doing so at Arsenal next season? It’s very questionable at this stage.
