CasillasIker Casillas is keen on a move to Arsenal this summer.

Real Madrid are set to launch a summer bid for Manchester United goalkeeper David De Gea, which could see Casillas finally end his 25 year stay at the Bernabeu as a result.

The 33-year-old shot-stopper is now being linked with a move to the Premier League, with Spanish journalist Josep Pederol tipping him to join the Gunners via his Twitter account.

According to several reports, Pederol told Spanish television:

‘Iker Casillas is very clear, he wants to go to England at the end of the season.’

Casillas was linked with a move to the Emirates in past summers, including the previous one – nothing materialized and Arsene Wenger instead signed David Ospina from Nice.

With Wojciech Szczesny’s future at the Emirates in serious doubt and many still uncertain over whether Ospina can become a regular for the side in years to come, Wenger is still looking to add that much needed experience and quality between the sticks and Casillas ticks both boxes.

Casillas will have one-year left to run on his existing deal after the season ends, but if Real manage to sign De Gea from United then they may well consider selling the legendary Spaniard – even though he is a fan-favourite amongst the Bernabeu faithful.

If he wants to come to the Premier League and is keen on a move to Arsenal then why not give him what he wants?
