Juan IturbeArsenal are willing to pay £18 million for Juan Iturbe, according to the player’s agent.

The Gunners, as well as Liverpool, are both reportedly keen on the 21-year-old forward, who has been in impressive for Roma since signing for them last summer.

The Argentine starlet, who can play anywhere along the front-line but is primarily a right winger, has only scored two goals and created three in 29 appearances in all competitions so far this season for Roma, but is highly-rated by the Giallorossi and rated one of the best young players currently operating in Serie A.

Arsene Wenger could be on the lookout for a new forward this summer if Theo Walcott fails to sign a new deal at the Emirates, and sees Iturbe as a suitable replacement.

Roma will strive to keep their prized asset at the Stadio Olimpico, but Iturbe’s agent, Gustavo Mascardi, claims there is a lot of interest in the Argentine and also suggests two English teams are willing to pay Roma the fee that the Italian outfit handed over to Hellas Verona last summer for the youngster:

‘There are two teams in England who want him and would be willing to pay the fee that Roma did for him.’

Arsenal will relentlessly be linked with forwards/right-wingers this summer until Walcott’s future is resolved, that’s for certain, and whether the Gunners are in fact one of the two English teams willing to pay £18 million for Iturbe, as Mascardi claims, remains to be seen. But if Liverpool and Arsenal are the only two Premier League sides linked with the forward then it’s plausible.
