WengerArsenal prepare to take n ‘mission impossible’ tomorrow night in the Champions League – going to Monaco, scoring three goals and keep a clean sheet to qualify to the next phase of the European competition.

The 3-1 home loss to the Ligue 1 outfit under three weeks ago was simply not good enough and has left us hanging on to our Champions League dreams once again.

But while some fans have already conceded that we are only going to Monaco for the sake of it, some still believe the impossible can be achieved.

Arsenal were in a similar predicament last season against Bayern Munich, went to the Allianz Arena and kept a clean sheet and beat the German juggernaut 2-0. Unfortunately we went out on the away goal rule but it was a case of close but no cigar. But it will give us some hope that we can go to Monte Carlo and give them a run for their money.

It’s a big game, a game for big players to step up and show what they are capable of. Positivity and belief is key, and if Arsene Wenger instils this into the players (which I’m sure he will) then there is hope.

But which 11 players should the Frenchman start with tomorrow night?

Well, here is the starting line-up I think he should go for:

Ospina

Bellerin         Mertesacker         Koscielny         Gibbs

Coquelin         Cazorla

Ozil

Alexis                                                  Welbeck

Giroud

Hector Bellerin over Calum Chambers because the Spaniard poses more of a threat going forward and has pace to do damage, while Kieran Gibbs comes in for Nacho Monreal for the same reasons really.

Santi Cazorla was benched for the West Ham game so surely he will be picked by Wenger to star alongside Francis Coquelin.

Alexis Sanchez on the right and Olivier Giroud as the centre-forward as usual, but I would go for Danny Welbeck over Theo Walcott. Welbeck had a good game against United in the FA Cup a few days ago and I think he would be more effective than Theo from the start. Walcott to come on as a late sub when the Monaco defence tires.

You have to think that Wenger will go all out tomorrow as we have nothing to lose, so an attacking side will definitely be on the cards.

So, who’d be in your Arsenal XI to take on Monaco?

Ospina – been solid since taken over number 1 spot
Bellerin- amazing going forward and solid tackling
Chambers- had a great game on Saturday.
Koscielny- fantastic at playing it out from the back. Truly solid.
Monreal- really improved this season. Won me over recently.
Coquelin- been phenomenal since he has came back
Ramsey – creative, quick and can get a goal
Ozil- showing that he is still one of the best CAM’s out there.
Cazorla- skilful, majestic and could score at any time.
Alexis- hopefully can return to his very best
Giroud- been phenomenal since he came back. I believe he has the best hold up play and link up play for a striker in the world.
