Should Wenger listen to Wright?

STerling RaheemIan Wright has urged Arsene Wenger to bring Raheem Sterling to Arsenal.

Sterling’s future at Liverpool is in serious doubt as the England international is stalling on signing a new deal at Anfield.

The 20-year-old winger has been a breath of fresh air for Brendan Rodgers’ side since breaking into the first-team in 2011.

But it is thought the youngster turned down a new contract worth £180,000-a-week, insisting money isn’t the major factor for his reluctance to put pen to paper.

As a result, Sterling is being linked with a move away from Anfield, and reports over the weekend suggested Arsenal are keeping an eye on the situation as they are dealing with a similar issue involving Theo Walcott.

Arsene Wenger could be in the market for a new winger this summer if Walcott fails to sign a new deal and is believed to be contemplating a move for Sterling.

And Wright, who won five major trophies during his time at Arsenal, believes Wenger should do all he can to lure Sterling to the Emirates and play him where he wants.

At 1.45pm yesterday, he tweeted:

‘Come on arsene! Go in and get ” Raheem the dream Sterling ” from Liverpool and play him where he wants!’

Wenger is likely to bring in a replacement for Walcott this summer after the Frenchman told the England international he is not a starter anymore.

If Walcott was to depart this summer, would Sterling be the ideal replacement?

Finally, should Wenger listen to Wright by signing the Liverpool ace and play him where he wants, regardless of what happens to Theo?

I Raheem is a good player and if Wenger can lure him to the emirate stadium, it’s gona be a huge boost to the Arsenal team provided he also address other crucial areas like the mid field, central defence and center forward.
