Wojciech SzczesnyRoberto Mancini wants to take Wojciech Szczesny to Inter Milan this summer.

The 24-year-old has fallen out of favour with Arsene Wenger after a shocking display in their New Year’s Day loss to Southampton and a smoking incident in the showers after that game.

Since then David Ospina has become Wenger’s first-choice goalkeeper, with Szczesny making just two starts (both in the club’s FA Cup wins over Brighton and Middlesbrough) in Arsenal’s last 11 games in all competitions.

Despite having over three-years left to run on his existing contract, Szczesny’s future at the Emirates looks in serious doubt and could be moved on over the summer with Wenger eyeing up potential shot-stoppers.

It is understood Mancini has set his sights on a summer bid for Szczesny, who is likely to start tomorrow at Old Trafford, after learning Samir Handanovic could be on his way to Manchester United.

Mancini could snap up the Poland international for around £13-15 million.

Should Szczesny continue to play second fiddle to Ospina, then he could well decide to call it quits at the Emirates at the end of the season.
