Arsenal are preparing a £4.3 million offer for Charles Aranguiz this summer.
According to sources in South America, Arsene Wenger is keen to bring the 25-year-old to the Emirates, having tracked his performances since last summer’s World Cup in Brazil where he impressed for Chile.
Aranguiz only made his move to Internacional permanent in July 2014, but Chilean newspaper La Tercera claim Arsenal are plotting a move for the versatile midfielder
Wenger is thought to be in the market this summer for a midfielder and while many would like to see Morgan Schneiderlin come in from Southampton, Aranguiz represents a more frugal move for th Frenchman.
Known for his stamina, marking and passing ability, the Chile international has made 14 appearances for Internacional this season, scoring two goals along the way, and Wenger may well ask Alexis Sanchez to persuade his fellow countryman to join him at Arsenal next season.
Aranguiz is a better option than Morgan and cheaper. But he may not adapt to the playing style in London. But if he is like Sanchez then no problem Wenger should get him.
