Arsenal are leading the chase for Nikola Vlasic.
The 17-year-old Hadjuk Split midfielder, who has been likened to fellow countryman Luka Modric, is one of Europe’s brightest prospects and has been in impressive form for the Croatian club, making 17 appearances in all competitions and finding the back of the net twice so far this season.
The Croatia Under-18 international, who primarily is a right winger but can also play on the opposite flank and in the centre of midfield, has been linked with a move to Inter Milan in recent times, but according to Italian publication Tuttomercatoweb, it’s the Gunners who are in pole position to land the youngster.
However, it is believed Hadjuk Split will not allow Vlasic to leave the club this January unless an offer they cannot turn down is tabled – Transfermarkt value him at £660,000.
If this doesn’t prove to be the case then interested clubs will wait until the end of the season to make a move for the teenager.
