Striker - Thierry HenryRay Parlour believes Thierry Henry will replace Arsene Wenger as Arsenal boss one day.

The 37-year-old striker’s future is currently uncertain after leaving New York Red Bulls at the end of the season and has been linked with a move back to Arsenal.

Signing on as a player is not on the cards for both Henry and Wenger, but the legendary Frenchman may well be keen to join the backroom staff at the Emirates, despite interest from Galatasaray.

But whatever Arsenal’s record goalscorer does decide to do in the near future, Parlour believes he will one day be in charge of his beloved Gunners:

‘I think he will definitely get involved with Arsenal. I certainly believe, one day, if he really wants to be a manager, he will be manager of Arsenal.

‘He was such an intelligent player. Arsene Wenger used to have a meeting on a Monday with the players after a game and Thierry would always have his say. He would make some great points, not just about forwards, but about defending and how we defend as a team.

‘He always had that charisma to be a manager. And look at his name around the world. People would want to play for him and he would attract big players.’

I myself no doubt that Henry will one day be back at Arsenal in a coaching capacity – the guy is loved by all at the club and will be welcomed back with open arms.

If his dream is to become Arsenal’s next manager then his best move now would be to come back and join the backroom staff, learn from Wenger and see what happens when the 65-year-old’s contract expires.
