Should Wenger start this man against Swansea?

Walcott 3Arsenal take on Swansea City on Sunday afternoon, hoping to come out of the game with a positive result after the disappointing 3-3 draw with Anderlecht on Tuesday night in the Champions League.

Arsene Wenger has no new injury concerns ahead of the game but now has Theo Walcott to call upon.

Walcott has been sidelined for almost 10 months after suffering a serious knee injury against Tottenham in the FA Cup last season.

The England winger will not be at his sharpest as he will need to get back into the swing of things and gain match practise and fitness. But he will no doubt be in the squad travelling to Wales this weekend after making a brief appearance against Burnley last Saturday.

But should Wenger start the speedster against Swansea? Or should the Frenchman stick him on the bench and bring him on if required?

I would love to see Theo start but I think it’s too early for him to do so after recovering from a long-term injury.

Besides, Alexis Sanchez is on fire and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain has enough about him to cause Swansea’s full-back’s some problems.

I believe Theo should be placed on the bench for this game and be brought on with 30 mins left to play – he needs to slowly get back into things, not be rushed and potentially pick up the same injury.

It will however be interesting to see how Wenger plays it when Theo is at his best, but that’s for another day I guess.

Should Wenger start Walcott against the Swans this Sunday – yes or no?
