Arsene WengerHere are my Arsenal player ratings from today’s 2-1 loss to Swansea at the Liberty Stadium:

Wojciech Szczesny – Didn’t have a lot to deal with to be fair and couldn’t do nothing about the two goals that went in the back of his net. 5/10

Calum Chambers – The youngster struggled to deal with the pace of Jefferson Montero all game and the second goal came from precisely that, with the Swansea winger skinning the right-back to deliver the assist. 4/10

Per Mertesacker – The German centre-back dealt with the threat of Wilfried Bony but was nowhere to be seen when Bafetimbi Gomis leapt in the box to header the winner. 5/10

Nacho Monreal – Didn’t do a lot wrong to be honest but the Spaniard has struggled playing in the centre of defence. 5/10

Kieran Gibbs – Did well defensively and got forward when needed but gave away a needless free-kick which Gylfi Sigurddson converted. 5/10

Mathieu Flamini – Got stuck in and made some great challenges in the middle of the park. Got booked, but showed desire throughout. 7/10

Aaron Ramsey – Never got into the game, nor did the Welsh midfielder add anything to Arsenal’s forward play. In need of a rest due to his poor form and displays in recent games. 4/10

Santi Cazorla – Played some neat passes in midfield and attempted to make things happen but couldn’t. Wasn’t his best display and was surprised to see him play the full 90. 5/10

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain – Made some powerful, surging runs forward which troubled the Swansea back-line. Was Arsenal’s best player by a mile. 7.5/10

Alexis Sanchez – Was fairly quiet today but managed to net his eighth Premier League goal after an incisive run and Arsenal break. 6/10

Danny Welbeck – Tried to get into the game but struggled too. Had Arsenal’s first shot on goal which came just before the break and did extremely well to set up Sanchez’s goal. 5/10

SUBS:

Jack Wilshere – Came on for Ramsey with 10 minutes left to play and had a good effort on goal blocked. 5/10

Theo Walcott – Good to see Walcott get some more game time under his belt but with only 10 minutes, not even the speedster could do anything about the result. Replaced Flamini. 5/10

Yaya Sanago – The young Frenchman came on for Chambers in the 88th minute and I don’t think he even touched the ball. N/A
