Arsenal v RSC Anderlecht - UEFA Champions League Group Stage Matchday Four Group DDennis Praet is willing to leave Anderlecht in order to seal a move to Arsenal according to the player’s agent.

The 20-year-old had a trial at the Gunners four years ago but ended up joining Anderlecht and has since established himself as a regular for the Belgian outfit, and is also regarded as one of Europe’s most exciting midfielders.

Reports earlier in the week suggested Arsenal were leading the chase for Praet, and his agent, Jacques Lichtenstein, has confirmed that the Belgian attacking playmaker has his heart set on a move to the Emirates at the end of the current season:

‘What can he gain by spending another season at Anderlecht?’

‘He can join the likes of Arsenal or Valencia, Liverpool and Atletico Madrid. He won’t play for just anybody though.

‘Dennis is not far away from being at the level of Arsenal, where they would allow him a year to settle down.’

Now if that isn’t a ‘come and get me plea’ then I don’t know what is.

Although Praet, who has featured 17 times in all competitions so far for Anderlecht, is highly rated and is technically good enough to play for the Gunners, in my opinion of course. But do we really need another playmaker coming in?
