ClickWengerArsenal will hand to fend off interest from Manchester City and several clubs from both Italy and Spain to sign Marc Brasnic, according to the Daily Mirror.

The Croatian teenager, who currently plays for Bayer Leverkusen, is highly thought of in his native country.

But with only seven months left to run on his existing contract and no signs of Leverkusen offering him an extension, Brasnic could be sold by the German club in January rather than lose him on a free next season.

The 18-year-old forward has attracted the attentions of a number of clubs from Italy and Spain and the Gunners and current Premier League champions are also believed to be keen on the Under-19 Croatia international, who could go for as little as £1.5 million this winter.

Arsene Wenger is known to pluck young talent from around the globe and Brasnic could be the next youngster the Frenchman brings to the Emirates.

Not exactly the striker we crave, but it’s good to see that our club still wants to sign young, raw talent.
