Joel CampbellYesterday, it was reported in the Sunday Mirror that AC Milan want to sign Arsenal youngster Joel Campbell on loan to replace Mario Balotelli, who looks set to sign for Liverpool before the transfer window closes.

But should Arsene Wenger let the Costa Rican forward go out on loan once again, or does he have a part to play for the Gunners this season?

Campbell has had loan spells at Lorient, Real Betis and last season Olympiacos due to work permit issues, but the 22-year-old has finally been granted permission to play for the Gunners and featured during pre-season and also made his debut for the club since joining from Deportivo Sparissa in 2011 against Everton on Saturday.

But with the arrival of Alexis Sanchez from Barcelona and the likes of Olivier Giroud, Yaya Sanogo and Theo Walcott to return soon, the tricky forward will see very little action at Arsenal, with his best chance of featuring for the club being in the ‘minor’ cup competitions and making cameo appearances, if any, in the Premier League.

Several clubs have expressed an interest in Campbell. Galatasaray were reportedly keen to sign him only for Wenger to rule it out.

AC Milan will reportedly pay all of Campbell’s wages and claim Wenger will wait until after the Besiktas clash this Wednesday to make his decision.

Although not for sale, Wenger has not yet stated whether he would let the youngster go out on loan once again to gain further first-team experience.

He is obviously highly-rated by the boss but unfortunately is behind a number of forward’s in the pecking order.

Perhaps another season-long loan would be best for Campbell, but he could grow tire and question whether he does have a future at Arsenal, as it would be his FOURTH temporary move away from the Emirates. Wenger must tread carefully with this one or risk losing a real talent in Campbell.

If he’s not going to feature on a regular basis this season then loan him out. But I do think if anyone is to be loaned out it should be Sanogo, not Campbell.

You talk no sense, look how arsenal played in last two games without yaya, think, yaya is the best also Campbell should stay.

Could this be true, then Wenger may have made saddest managerial error in the history of football.

It is only an insane manager that would harbour d plan of loaning out ‘jewel campbell’, what a mistake would an Emirate manager b making, by allowing such a talent to go on loan? Pls, let my ‘jewel campbell’, stay on @ ‘Emirates’. we need his potentials.
