The £20M solution to Wenger’s striking problems

|

Radamel FalcaoArsenal could still get their hands on Radamel Falcao after reports suggesting the Gunners are set to hold talks with the striker’s agent and Monaco officials over a summer move.

The Colombia international has re-emerged on Wenger’s radar after learning that Olivier Giroud was ruled out for the remainder of the year.

Wenger has denied rumours suggesting he is looking to bring in Falcao, but Italian journalist Nicolo Schira says both clubs plus the 28-year-old’s representative Jorge Mendes to discuss a deal.

Using his Twitter account, Schira tweeted earlier today:

‘#Arsenal, #Juve and #RealMadrid are very interested in Radamel #Falcao. Tomorrow in Montecarlo they’ll meet #Monaco and Jorge #Mendes. #AFC.’

Real Madrid and Juventus are also believed to be interested in the in-demand hitman who could reportedly be loaned out by Monaco if they receive a loan fee of £20 million.

Arsenal are in desperate need of a striker and while names like Loic Remy, Edinson Cavani and Wilfried Bony have all been linked with a move to the Emirates, splashing out £20 million on Falcao would be the perfect solution to our proble. Not only is the guy currently one of the world’s best strikers, but he would fill Giroud’s boots and some.

Yes we do have options upfront, but relying on Yaya Sanogo and Joel Campbell is a risk too big to take, and Alexis Sanchez cannot be on form every game, it’s just impossible. We do need another centre-forward coming in before Monday’s deadline and Falcao, who isn’t settled at Monaco at the moment, would fit the bill perfectly in my book.

The £20 million fee would also cover all of his wages and bonuses and considering we netted £25 million for qualifying to the Champions League group stages last night, we would be getting him, essentially, for nothing.

It will be a battle to land Falcao, especially with Real Madrid involved, but if Wenger manages to pull this off then this could be one the best deals he ever seals.

What about buy falcao completely, because loaning for £20million does not really make sense for a club like arsenal. Is just like help monaco finance its club! 20m is suck.

It should be a no brainer. He’s a Puma athlete so Puma – what are you waiting for??? He’d pay back half of that at least in shirt and boot sales.

If we don’t get a beast CF we can still do it with a beast DM aaa platform for our small strikers though – with neither we’re f….d.

Not Falcao……. Falcao not good play arsenal style. I prefer E. Cavani.

      FALCAO = D. SUKER.
Falcao good in the air, good position but not good skill, ball control, dribbling.

I prefer arsenal get cavani. Cavani good play arsenal style. Good pace, good finishing, good in the air, good ball control, good skill.

I hope arsene get CAVANI. GET TROPHY….. THIS YEAR…..
      I’M HUNGRY TROPHY

Won’t happen. Arsenal will not sign a striker. Wenger said they were good up front earlier this season.

How can u possibly call a 20m loan deal a solution? Only a fool that doesn’t understand the value if money will pay 20million to land a player on loan. Forget It being Arsenal. I think buying him is better than loaning for 20m. But wait,is it not better to get a DM and a CB??
