Arsene-WengerArsenal opened the new season with an impressive 3-0 win over title rivals ManchesterCity for the Community Shield at Wembley earlier this afternoon, and the Gunners will hope to build on this in the forthcoming campaign and deliver more trophies to the Emirates come mid-May of next year.

Here are my Arsenal player ratings from today’s game:

Wojciech Szczesny – Can’t remember the Pole making a save. A relatively quite outing for Shezza. 7/10

Mathieu Debuchy – Got forward well in the first-half and showed his defensive ability in the second with some great interceptions and challenges. 7/10

Calum Chambers – The 19-year-old had another solid performance in the heart of the defence. Read the game well and got stuck in. Made a few inexperienced errors but atoned to them. 8/10

Laurent Koscielny – Kept Dzeko and co. at bay. Positioned well throughout and was calm on the ball in the back. 7/10

Kieran Gibbs – Got forward well and equally as good when defending. Handled Jesus Navas with ease. 7/10

Mikel Arteta – Had a quiet game but did his job without to much trouble. Kept things disciplined in midfield and dictated the pace of the game. 7/10

Jack Wilshere – Wanted the ball and when he did have possession Jack always looked to get it forward. Done some decent runs but doesn’t look match sharp yet. 6.5/10

Aaron Ramsey – Rambo just seems to be going from strength to strength with each game that passes by. Ran the show in midfield and also managed to find the back of the net to put the Gunners 2-0 up. Man of the Match for me. 9/10

Santi Cazorla – Played some lovely balls around the park and found space well. Opened the scoring with a well driven, low shot. 7/10

Alexis Sanchez – Always looked a threat when in possession and linked up well with Debuchy. Better things to come from the Chilean, that’s for sure. 7/10

Yaya Sanogo – Can’t remember the youngster having a shot on goal despite some decent flick-ons and runs. 6/10

SUBS:

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain – Came on for Sanchez at the start of the second-half and was deployed on the left to begin with. Made some surging runs forwards on the flank and caused a few problems to the City defence. 6.5/10

Olivier Giroud – Replaced Sanogo at half-time and was very lethargic to be honest. But the French striker managed to score a blinder from out of nowhere to secure the win. 7/10

Nacho Monreal – Came on for Koscielny at half-time and played in the centre-back position. Did well but not comfortable in this position. 6/10

Mathieu Flamini – Replaced Wilshere in the 68th minute. Was put on to hold on to what they had and got stuck in. 6/10

Tomas Rosicky – Replaced Cazorla with 20 minutes to go. Got a run-out and played some decent passes. 5/10

Joel Campbell – The Costa Rican forward came on for Ramsey in the 84th minute. Gave away a foul and lost possession once. Not a lot more to say really. 5/10

Yah! SCZ made 2 smart saves, once colliding with the post.He nearly got his head kick off clearing outside the pen area.

Hey did you even see the game?

7 seems to be your favourite number here. And szczesny did make some bad calls and a few mistakes. Overall this is a bad analysis….seems you did not see the game at all.

How can you mark Rosicky, Campbell and Flamini so low? They never had a chance to get into the game and it’s demeaning to them to mark them so poorly.
