We have reportedly agreed personal terms with Alexis Sanchez but Barcelona and Arsenal are yet to come to a consensus on a transfer fee.
Both Liverpool and Juventus are also believed to be keen on the Chilean star, but 25-year-old admitted recently that he would prefer to work under Arsene Wenger at the Emirates next season.
Sanchez joined Barcelona from Udinese for around £30 million in 2011. Yet despite a decent start to life at the CampNou, the Chile international has been in and out of the team since the arrival of Neymar from Santos last summer.
If reports are to be believed that Sanchez is on his way to Arsenal this summer then it will no doubt be viewed by pundits and fans alike as a massive signing by Wenger.
Wenger was understood to be in the market for a new forward this summer and if the Frenchman has managed to pull it off then he would’ve sorted out his dilemma much quicker than usual.
A transfer fee between £32-35 million may be what we are looking at to splash out on Sanchez – a decent amount of cash considering Barca bought him for around the same price.
